Application Instructions

For best results, follow these simple steps when applying PROTECT® PROLONG Roof Coating.

1. Prepare the Product

Before starting, stir thoroughly using a drill mixer or by hand to ensure the coating is fully blended.

2. Clean the Surface

Use a degreaser to thoroughly clean the surface. The surface must be dry and free of dust, grease, and contaminants before application.

3. Reinforce Seams & Joints

Embed a 4"–12" wide pre-cut strip of POL-E-FORCE fabric into the coating and shape it to the contours of:

• Joints
• Flashing seams
• Corners
• Use a paintbrush to form the fabric into place properly.

4. Apply the Coating

The coating can be applied using:

• Airless spray equipment, or

• Paint roller

For best results, use a 9" roller with a minimum ¾" nap.

5. Coverage Rate

Apply at a minimum rate of:

3.4 gallons per 100 sq. ft. (1.4 L / m²)

This coverage is typically achieved by applying 2–3 coats, depending on temperature and relative humidity.

6. Dry Time

Allow at least 12 hours of drying time between coats.
