This one-part sealant is applied using professional-grade caulk guns and cures with ambient moisture to an elastic, rubber-like state. It is paintable once cured and compatible with many Henry® air barrier, flashing, roofing, and waterproofing systems.

Approvals and Certifications:

  • Meets ASTM C719 + 35%
  • Meets Fed Spec TT-S-00230C, Type II, Class A
  • Meets ASTM C920 Type S, Grade NS, Use NT, Class 35
  • LEED v4 MR Credit Building Product Disclosure & Optimization: Health Product Declaration “HPD”

Features & Benefits:

  • Vetted component of Henry®-warranted systems
  • Excellent adhesion to many surfaces
  • Will not freeze or wash off in the rain
  • No shrinkage stays elastic and flexible
  • Low odor, low VOC
  • Paintable after cure

Usage: Henry® 925 BES Sealant is primarily used as a component in Henry® air barrier, flashing, waterproofing, and roofing systems. It is suitable for detailing terminations, penetrations, transitions, and joints. It can also be used as an alternative to other elastomeric sealants in above-grade construction applications and is optimal for construction joints up to 1” (25mm) width with dynamic joint movement up to +35%. It bonds well to many Henry® membranes and common construction materials like concrete, masonry, wood, and metal.

Application:

  • Surface Prep: Ensure surfaces are sound, smooth, uniform, and free from defects and contaminants. Can be applied over damp surfaces but not over surface water or frost.
  • Apply: Cut nozzle to desired bead size, puncture inner seal, and apply at a 45° angle. Tool the sealant before it skins to ensure contact with the substrate and proper shaping for water shedding. For movement joints, insert backer rod into the joint before sealant installation to control depth and prevent adhesion to the bottom of the joint.
  • Limitations: Verify compatibility of all materials in contact with the sealant before installation. Do not apply in rain or on wet surfaces. For cold weather installation, store at room temperature above 35°F (2°C) for at least 24 hours before use.

Clean-Up: Clean hands and equipment with suitable products for removing oil-based materials. Remove uncured sealant by scraping off excess material with solvents. Cured material may be removed by cutting or abrasion.
